Reasonable argument, but I disagree. As I have said, #Argentina's holdout bondholders were seen as even more villainous than the #IMF, and @mauriciomacri survived the 2016 settlement politically unscathed.
Meanwhile, @Lagarde clearly admires @mauriciomacri's reform agenda, and is eager to repair the #IMF's image in #Argentina. And though the Trump White House might question a bailout, it too supports the Casa Rosada and would likely support an @IMFNews line of credit.
That said, @mauriciomacri will have to emphasize the light conditionality on any #IMF program. The latest @UADEoficial/@VoicesResearch survey found that 47% of Argentines had a negative view of the Fondo Monetario Internacional. @IMFNews @MinHaciendaAr @MinFinanzas
