Today is Argentine Ambassador Fernando Oris de Roa’s 1st day on the job. But he still faces protocolar hurdles. 1st, he must present copies of his credentials to the secretary of state (or his designee). Then, he presents his credentials to President Trump at the @WhiteHouse.
The @StateDept event is often low-key, but the @WhiteHouse credentialing ceremony is always memorable. The president convenes a group of newly arrived ambassadors from all over the world, who mingle in the West Wing lobby and Roosevelt Room while waiting their turn.
