A federal judge today called on senators to strip @CFKArgentina of her parliamentary immunity so she could be arrested for obstructing the investigation into Iran's role in the 1994 bombing of the #AMIA Jewish community center in #BuenosAires.

The prospects for @CFKArgentina's detention are unclear. Absent a conviction, it is hard to imagine the arrest of a former president. Then again, on Oct. 25, Argentina's Lower House made history by approving the "desafuero" of former Kirchner super minister Julio De Vido.

I'm skeptical Judge Bonadio's ruling will be upheld. After all, the Argentine congress approved @CFKArgentina's Iran agreement. But his description of the 1992 and 1994 bombings was powerful: "actos de guerra" by Iran, "contra ciudadanos Argentinos desarmados e inocentes."
