As we wrote in the #WeeklyAsado, San Martín is also memorialized in a bronze equestrian statue in Central Park. In Washington, the statue was dedicated in 1925 by President Calvin Coolidge, who said it would “stand through the centuries as an inspiration to all who love liberty.”
