Ok wait I genuinely cant tell if they're mean to be speaking broken common or not. Generally when comics use < > brackets its meant to tell you the dialogue is being translated into english. But this line makes that confusing.pic.twitter.com/j5r9uAxLwX

I think that anything in <>s is supposed to be Zandali translated to English, and the fact that the humans haven't ever heard of Zandali being spoken makes them think it "sounds funny", all of this as a trope to be like "ha Troll stupid because he misunderstands and gets angry"
