What is/was the point of Recruit -keyword when there's probably more cards with that effect that do not have the keyword than those that do?
Recruit is strictly summoning from your deck, while this also summons from your hand. Having a card state "Battlecry: Summon a Demon from your hand. Recruit a Demon" would just be weird. Also, Recruit has unique placement tech, and was only a K&C mechanic.

I know it would be weird on this card, what I'd like to see is that they'd remove the keyword like they did with Enrage

It still has unique placement tech, that is different from any other type of summoning. Recruited minions are placed to the rightmost side of the board. While a small detail, it can play a role when dealing with cards like Rolling Fireball, or in SA, Combustion.
