I grew up on DOS, then had a short time on Mac in school then Win 3.1. At that time Windows was super clunky. Win 95 was tolerable. Win 7 on it was pretty cool but muscle memory made it hard to use. I didn’t mind it. But like you I prefer Macs. The new M1... mmmm
Totally. I’d prefer my 2012 unibody MacBook Pro over any top of the line windows laptop any day. It still FEELS like a flagship laptop 8 years later, and it’s a 12 year old design. Nothing like that with windows.

My 2009 MBP is still chugging along - 2 batteries and 1 SSD later. Granted I don’t do anything heavy duty on it, but it’s still very adequate. Gonna run it till browsers stop working lol.

Same! I bought my unibody when my retina of the same year crapped out and... well... it’s clunkier, heavier, lower resolution, but I still prefer it over anything else! A testament to apples longevity!
