Yes, but many of the functions you mentioned are handled by state & local government. The federal government shouldn’t be involved in things such as education. That should be a state & local issue.

Yes, education worked SO well before there were federal regulations. I dearly miss the intellectual renaissance fueled by the Lost Cause, segregation, and turning women away from math class.
