Agreed, high turnout doesn't necessarily favour the left. But at least it means democracy is working ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

There is that, and of course, Trump won on lower turnout. So maybe not that indicative.

2002 election had lowest turn out and led JM Le Pen to 2nd round. Election felt stolen. Would probably not have happened with higher turnout
