I haven't seen any tweets about them being "completely wrong". Especially as they're obviously correct.
The second tweet is a poor comparison. Companies like SW and Alexa approximate, (albrit thoroughly) https://www.similarweb.com/ourdata
Those approximate rankings only relevant relative to each other. All rankings seem to show Canary substantially ahead in UK.
No reason to doubt the Canary's internal figures will also be much larger than the approximations of webrankers
Econ has paywall, which limits traffic. Most salient fact for me tho: NS & E have mags & ppl pay actual £ to read
Even w/ paywall people have heard of the Economist. Ask a random person in the streets if they've heard of the canary
