I always found it weird but in kind of an apt way that you can't say 'that's confusing', and you have to say something like 'ca porte a confusion'... So how do you say privacy then?

You say "vie privée" which from a gender theory perspective is fascinating since privee is - even more than private in English - a word you'd use for private property, the private sector... Basically ownership. Something women don't get to have.

Well the académie française actually loves nothing more than coming up with new words. The problem is finding people willing to use them.
