    To be quite honest, is pretty cool. A lot of it is quite confusing, but so was Bitcoin at first. I tend to think there is room to be excited by both without getting into the philosophical tug-of-war between the two camps. Would be awesome to see both groups work together!

    I wonder if VPN-services will be normalized by the general public as a measure to obfuscate location when using 3rd-party websites. IP Address leaks are becoming more prevalent (at least from my vantage point), wonder if using a VPN mitigates this risk in any way/shape/form.

    Friendly reminder that a Bitcoin halving is an emission shock, not a supply shock. Effects should be felt over a longer time frame - don't expect immediate impulse moves in May 2020.

    Love this chart. My basic opinion is that hash rate won’t stabilize until price plateaus - the economic incentive to secure the network will continue to outweigh the block halving emission cut until BTC moves to final stages of sound money (which induces stability)

    The price of a bitcoin was once 6 cents. It has since increased by 5 orders of magnitude (a >100,000x multiple) Over the same time period, hashrate has grown ~700,000 times FASTER than price, increasing by just under 11 orders of magnitude (a >70,000,000,000x multiple) Wild.

    Good sleuthing by - reminder that it is much more efficient to disprove claims with facts instead of just writing the claim off because of its inherent absurdity. Treating people with respect (i.e. taking the high road) instead of flinging mud should be applauded.

    Craig Wright - "I remember reading it... probably... when I wrote it." Craig's "source of truth" can now be found on SSRN. He uploaded the Bitcoin whitepaper there, and claims it was written on August 21, 2008. Right. Let's see about that.

    Using leverage in an asset class that is already inherently a levered bet on the world's economic future is, at best, dangerous. Using 75x leverage....I just can't get behind that. I am all for the freedom of choice, but there is low hanging fruit and then there is this.

    Here we go.... hash rate now at 127M TH/s, which should eclipse the previous all-time high for hash rate. New machines coming online coupled with impending halving = increased security on the network. Difficulty up. Fundamentals: up.

    ETH _should_ be the gas to fuel ethereum. Gasoline has value because once you use it, you can't use it again. ETH value keeps stalling as Ethereum adoption grows because ETH is water, not gas. endlessly recycled by market forces.

    Fantastic article. The network is very conservative and hesitant to change (a good thing!), so when early consensus is overwhelmingly positive on a soft-fork upgrade....exciting times indeed. This has me very excited - 2020 starting strong.
