I see the working title for Wonder Boy was Wonder Book. Either, it's a play on "The Jungle Book", or this is an actual confirmation that Book the Hero/ブック少年 from Monster Land is indeed the same guy from the first Wonder Boy.pic.twitter.com/k3t39BNVzC
By the way, according to that interview, Westone has never developed any port prior to Dragon's Trap on the Game Gear (which was still upcoming at the time), so the SG-1000 and Mark III ports of Wonder Boy and Monster Land were likely done by other developers.
