    While many of us look forward to the holidays, I am furious that our refugee friends in the Mantra & the Biloela family will spend another Xmas in detention. Morrison should release them - it wouldn’t be a Christmas miracle, its just the right thing to do

    I am concerned by reports of refugees in Bangladesh being moved to Bhasan Char. UNHCR and UN partners seek access to them in order to hear their voices, understand their wishes and see conditions on the island. Any transfer must follow a voluntary, informed decision.

    We welcome Iran’s move to give nationality to thousands of children born to Iranian mothers and non-Iranian fathers. As we have been saying, statelessness can often be addressed with just the stroke of a pen!
