With all due respect, can you honestly say that China's trade and economic practices are not acts of aggression? Eg., 25% tariff on autos, or forced tech transfer? International trade institutions had decades to fix imbalances and did not. And here we are. cc @cpa_tradereform

International Trade institutions are owned by their members, nation states, strongly believe they are better off addressing trade practices fair or unfair through dialogue & using rules based means -
I appreciate that preference, but those rules and the dialogue about them are clearly ineffectual. We're faced with a state dominated non-market economy that lives by its own rules. Whatever is going on, it didn't start this week. Perhaps this will force some effective dialogue.
