The bad news is that the new look is apparently "ambient" and logoless. Based on the curve in the middle of the figure 2. I say "bad news", it looks lovely, but I'd have preferred it to result in a logo. Other than just the teal box.

I like it, at least they've found a bit of money to do something original. It's almost as alien and out there as what Channel 4's 2015 look was. Will we have a video of your thoughts on it? Even if we have to wait until after Watch and Smile is done?

Apparently, there will be a double-digit number of idents, which is at least an improvement on all recent launches. As long as the first digit isn’t a zero.

But the curve makes the shape of a 2, and separates everything into two halves.

It still falls just short of a full-blown reusable, replantable logo, at least so far. It's consistent enough that the line of beauty-style curve could be repurposed as such, but it's not there right now.
