Note: it is possible for people to change the serial number in some cases, so another additional method is to check the IMEI number. If the IMEI number shows up on http://Apple.com but the serial number doesn’t; it’s likely the serial number was changed.
You identify by the serial number, but what get my attention was the baseband version 
Since you cannot downgrade the baseband, it’s a too newer version
