I always store my Sealed iPhones upside down (stickers with the serial number and other information facing upwards. This removes any possible tension that could be on the plastic seal, so stress line damage does not occur (like in the photo).pic.twitter.com/VEP8D9zrIe

Well it prevents those marks from appearing on the plastic seal (aside from storing them the “correct” way). It’s damage to the plastic seal so it would affect the value of the device. It’s like would you rather have a plastic seal with a tear or one without :)
