So, after the argument in Hawaii v Trump, I went to visit the Court as a tourist. Naturally spent some time in the gift shop, where I picked up Marshall the Courthouse Mouse, which came highly recommend by @smmarotta and others on #AppellateTwitter.

After I got home, I thought my 7 yo was hiding an iPad under his pillow at bedtime. But no! It was “Marshall” and a book light. I let him keep it and walked away thrilled. He’s now “sneaking” books to read every night. #AppellateTwitter parenting moment for the win!!

Awww, that's so cute. (I also hid books and booklights under my blankets when I was a kid)

I was so happy. It’s adorable and now he whispers to me every night about the book he’s sneaking. (Don’t tell him that Daddy already knows!). And of course I used to sneak books to read at night too. I’m guessing that’s a trait #AppellateTwitter folks share ;)

If you give Deirdre a Supreme Court argument to attend, she will want a mouse book to go with it. Marshall, the Courthouse Mouse: A Tail of the U. S. Supreme Court https://www.amazon.com/dp/1596987898/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_KdL8AbZ5TJAS9 …pic.twitter.com/DTm0ikCZK8

Considering (if I recall correctly) that @neal_katyal actually used If You Give a Mouse a Cookie in a prior term, and it was his argument in our case I was watching, this comment is spot on.

Nice! It reminds me of when @neal_katyal used this line in Wells Fargo v. City of Miami from last Term. pic.twitter.com/ZB3SsAVPJA
