DOJ spokesperson on federal treatment of same-sex couples' Utah marriages: "The Department is reviewing the governor’s decision."

@AppellateDaily I mean, that's obviously Utah's argument. It was a DP/EP ruling, though, not a federalism ruling, so, I just don't buy that. -
@chrisgeidner I think it was all three. We'll just have to wait and see what DOJ does. -
@AppellateDaily It wasn't though. Kennedy says it wasn't.

@AppellateDaily That isn't to say I have a set view on what DOJ will do. Even Reyes, tho, says other states could recognize the marriages.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

@AppellateDaily Which I think is a very odd argument from him, but he made it to@BenWinslow today. -
@chrisgeidner@AppellateDaily He certainly did... -
@BenWinslow@AppellateDaily It's a remarkable argument to have made. -
@chrisgeidner@BenWinslow@AppellateDaily Windsor didn't say states did or didn't have right to ban SSM; it never answered that question
