Classic western company tactics. No notice, no empathy, no consequence ... Can't imagine a worst plight for employees who give it their all. I know because I too was laid-off without notice.(need help? we are hiring or can help outplace)

That’s stereotyping. Western companies are not more prone to layoffs, any company experimenting at large scale is prone to. The frenzied start up funding has just begun in India. Layoffs will become norm jour in India soon

Actually it’s not stereotyping, it’s a generalisation. You can compare layoffs at Indian cos and American cos. I have been part of both and they are very different. Of course, there are exceptions to every rule.

Prior notice should be given to employees so that they can atleast find other work.the sad thing is that you give your 100% and return they say dont come from tomorrow.
