I’m so excited to announce the inimitable Yinka Adegoke (@YinkaWrites) is joining Rest of World as the Editor for Strategic Initiatives, working on audience-first strategies for growth and sustainable engagement, as well as leading some bold new experiments.
As a part of his remit, Yinka is also going to spearhead our Africa coverage, commissioning stories, recruiting local writers, and building a long-term strategy for our coverage of the region. Have a great story from the continent? Get in touch with Yinka.
Those who know Yinka already know what an outstanding journalist and thinker he is. He’s been at the forefront of bringing unique stories from Africa through @qzafrica, and as its editor, has thought deeply about the need to cover innovation & people behind them in the continent.
Developing regional coverage and building/growing relationships with local journalists is a core part of @RestofWorld's mission, and I’m beyond thrilled for Yinka to lead our efforts.
