Today's decision from the Court is a blow for + sustainability – but it's certainly not the end of our work to . We continue to stand w/ + others working to defend lands + waters. Our reaction:

Pete could have graciously accepted his tentative second place. Instead, he decided to lie to the country with just enough weasel room for plausible deniability. No amount of forced-smile interviews will cover for the fact that everyone now sees he’s a pathological liar.

It’s not surprising to me that the Canadian Settler-State Doctrine of Discovery Court rubber stamps the Feds bogus Phase III Trans Mountain Pipeline consultations on the cusp of an RCMP attack on Wet’suwet’en Hereditary Chiefs!

Colonial courts upholding colonial laws. Shame on Canada. Power & solidarity to Indigenous land defenders. This pipeline is will never be built.

  9. A colonial minister talking to the colonial decision of a colonial court about the theft of Indigenous resources and how Indigenous Nations have no veto over such colonial projects. What else is new in colonial Canada?

Federal Court of Appeal decides the Feds conducted meaningful consultation on Trans Mountain Pipeline Expansion Project! SCC has already held that sec. 35 rights can be infringed for Important settler plans & activities like pipelines! The courts are in a conflict of interest!

Like you, I also expected so much more. Upset that I actively encouraged friends/family/ colleagues to support . Mistakenly believed that would rectify underfunding and fairly compensate members.

If RCMP attack Wet’suwet’en Hereditary Chiefs, Clans, allies & supporters, consider it an attack on all of us! Premier Horgan’s racist, colonial position is representative of all provincial gov’t’s & federal Gov’t supports provinces! RCMP is Canada’s Afrikaner type police force!

This impeachment trial is the first and only about the national security of our elections. Why? Because we KNOW Trump took actions to make our elections insecure. And the GOP’s answer is: “let the people decide...in an election.” YOU MEAN LIKE THE ONE YOU KNOW HE RIGGED?!

    1) The only ones who can say who represents the is the Wetsuweten. Period. The only thing "we" are all wrestling with is colonialism (both ongoing and legacy issues) that this article does a poor job of outlining.

This “Reconciliation Agreement” I’m told was also just signed without consulting the members of signatory bands who just sent band council resolutions in to the gov’t of BC! This isn’t the only agreement like this there are others in BC with same clause!

For those touting that Indian Act Band Councils are democratically elected unlike the Wet’suwet’en Hereditary Chiefs. Agreements are being signed across Canada by Indian Act band councils with federal & provincial gov’t’s without consulting their people, but binding their people!

Congratulation to the hollowing out of the UK? How can one think that a trade deal with Canada will make up for leaving the EU, a market of 675 million people? Is this truly all Conservative Canada has to offer as leaders?
