    Almost got killed on Jefferson Ave. this morning when a car came flying across the street. The driver was unconscious, high on heroine. Thankfully, he crashed into a parked car instead of me. Shoutout to for showing up quickly to apply the . The driver is OK.

    15 yr old Black boy, Lucca picked up a cell phone that fell out of the pocket of a Black boy who was being arrested. In response officers Christopher Krickovich & Greg LaCerra pepper sprayed, brutally beat, and arrested him. He broke no laws.

    I support the decriminalization of marijuana—and have long before it was popular—but on this let’s pause to reflect on the fact that at this moment in time some people are sitting in jails while others are planning IPOs—for the exact same activity. That’s just wrong.

    While I understand Alderman Bosley’s frustration better than most, this is not a solution. In fact, this is like fighting fire with kerosene. There are solutions. They require leadership, resources, will, and dedication.
