It makes constantly learning and questioning oneself almost morally obligatory — and knowing that you are never fully “right” mitigates the instinct to defensiveness which makes it easier to parse new information with a clear head.

This is so true! It really feels good when you realise you know very little too. It gives you a different perspective when you start to process the scale of the universe and how tiny you are in comparison. And the most liberating thought of all -
