Unpopular opinion: React is the wrong tool for building content websites (blogs, marketing sites, documentation, etc.) today. SSR is not good enough. You end up downloading the content twice: once in the HTML, and again in the JS for hydration. How did this become so common? 😱

I own a smart socket plug and wondered what is it actually good for since I did think it is a gimmick. Turns out if you use it for your bedroom light and set up a timer for it to turn on at the same time as your alarm goes off it gets you places. Strongly recommend👍

I like the kind of people that publish their well organized dot files to Github.

UIs for are just plugins. So when people say "there are too many UIs", this is like saying "I'm worried that there are too many Vim plugins". Don't worry.

Precisely the reason I’m rooting so bad for dev builds to be efficient and hella quick

Sure they solve somewhat different problems, but I'd expect there would be some kind of a convention at this point.

Are there any known conventions in linting tools in terms of external API ie what the lib exports(not the cli) in javascript? I've been looking at popular tools like eslint, prettier, stylelint etc and there isn't a pattern I can see.

I've just found out github supports relative url in markdown ie [link](./path/to/doc.md) autocompletes with [link](/user/repo/blob/master/path/to/doc.md)

Whenever I read "blazing fast" on a JS tool's website:

Sounds familiar. I think I’ve seen this idea somewhere before... But congrats to JetBrains Mono — fantastic reach!

The last few weeks I'v been sitting next to a back end intern. Recently she turned to me and said "I've been told that front end is not real development, but I've watched what you've been doing and no, it is real development". Do what you will with this information.
