Indian-Americans in the US are regularly subject to violent white supremacist attacks! And while these attacks are more often linked to Islamophobia, Hinduphobia also plays a role! Sikhs get hit by it too, because all of this hatred is heavily racialized and scattershot.
Instead of untangling this racialized nexus of religious bigotry and educating to unite people in antiracist solidarity, this new twisted definition of "Hinduphobia" just attacks anyone (including Hindus) who doesn't worship fascist piece of shit Narendra Modi.
Last thing I want to add is that this twisted definition of "Hinduphobia" is NOT a new rhetorical maneuver using "political correctness" or the latest rightwing label: it's just an ancient political tactic where the aggressor redefines themselves as the aggrieved victim.
