It may have not been a molotov as more sources and video point to it being a bag with something inside it However there was zero way to know that in the moment, and it really doesn't matter much from a legal perspective so long as a reasonable person might see it as such

That's not a molotov. There's no fire. It appears to be a plastic bag with something in the bag giving it a little weight. The "lit" part is just lighting from that building. You can't see any smoke. And there's no sound of glass hitting pavement. And thrower runs thru area after
