Doctors declared Arthurs incompetent for trial in 2018 and he was hospitalized. In March 2019, he was declared competent and returned to jail. In jail, he decompensated and was again found unfit to stand trial. Very common cycle. “Ah, this person is incompetent! Let’s put them in a place with specialized care until they’re competent, then take them out of that place and put them into one that is totally psychologically destructive! This will work fine”

He was the turncoat, though. He gave himself up and pretty much begged the feds to stop Atomwaffen before they killed more people. Not saying he’s a good guy per se, but it’s worth note.
