It's disappointing that so few news stories are covering this angle. If they mention the racialized death rates, it's in the context of trauma porn in POC communities.

They're increasing these shows-of-force to test waters, normalize, and bolster recruiting. At some point if this goes on they will have the ultimate recruiting/propaganda tool: bloody/public martyrs or battles that are likely to result from standoffs with cops or other groups.
