if you defend Chapo by harassing someone online, remember that no one is really attacking Chapo the cultural product so much as they are attacking the rabidly toxic sections of the fan base that make a DSA meeting look like a Rick & Morty fancon, and you are proving them correct

This ain’t it, chief. Want to criticize cumtown for their ironic racism? Let’s do it, that’s the shit that should be bullied into submission. The rest of this is baseless. There’s no chapo-to-fash pipeline. It’s absurd.

Can you link to something explaining that?

Extremely warm profile of Amber where she attacks marginalized people’s organizing in Spiked, which is a far-right outlet rattling the saber for the alt-right and is literally funded by the Charles Koch Foundation.https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.spiked-online.com/2019/07/04/meet-the-anti-woke-left/amp/ …

She's a class reductionist which I don't think is positive or helpful for the left, but not fascist.

so weird that fascists love someone who is definitely not a fascist, rightpic.twitter.com/7RbOSTOrJp

Do I disagree with 50%+ of her ‘hot takes’? Yes. Does this mean that a left wing indigenous woman who has some bad ‘hot takes’ is a fascist recruiter? No. You know, more than most, that the fash will seize on any stupid angle to try to squeeze something from it.

Sure, agreeing to a profile in a fash-friendly outlet where you attack the
#MeToo
movement isn’t at all fash-friendly.

If you’re saying that someone does more harm than good and should be written off or whatever, that’s one thing. But saying, with this evidence, that a bunch of people, many who are Jewish, Indigenous, marginalized, are ‘fascist recruiters’ is shaky, at best.

I think they’re mercenary dicks who are willing to cozy up to fash to get an edgy reputation and fill their wallets. But the material effect of that is that more people are exposed to fascist recruiting materials, like Spiked, which helps fascists. It doesn’t matter *why*.

The *why* does matter since we’re trying to determine if crypto-fash are in the house or not. Bad judgement isn’t the same as fashy motives. But let’s focus on the material effect: who became fascists? Either she’s terrible at her “fash recruiter” job...or this is insubstantial.
