if you defend Chapo by harassing someone online, remember that no one is really attacking Chapo the cultural product so much as they are attacking the rabidly toxic sections of the fan base that make a DSA meeting look like a Rick & Morty fancon, and you are proving them correct

If you’re saying that someone does more harm than good and should be written off or whatever, that’s one thing. But saying, with this evidence, that a bunch of people, many who are Jewish, Indigenous, marginalized, are ‘fascist recruiters’ is shaky, at best.

I think they’re mercenary dicks who are willing to cozy up to fash to get an edgy reputation and fill their wallets. But the material effect of that is that more people are exposed to fascist recruiting materials, like Spiked, which helps fascists. It doesn’t matter *why*.
