(I might be splitting hairs here, and I'm definitely not a fan of the show, but there are some really good people and activists who do enjoy it, and I want to try to be fair to them even while I criticize Chapo.)
It's adjacency and complacency that are the problem; theyre afraid to disrupt the donation network. The "left but not woke brand" appeals to(white) people who have money; it's the laziest leftism.. where ur college debt gets cancelled and you don't have to apologize to black ppl.

Confronting one's own biases is hard work.
It's a lot easier to play into that petty racism, misogyny, homophobia, and ableism and then claim that using slurs actually makes you a better socialist because you're harassing people for the cause.
