anyway, i used to be a liberal and one time i was walking out of a meeting with a Senator's aide and there was this group chaining themselves to the doors and throwing fake blood at people + that looked cool, so i talked to ACT UP and now here i am

As a young man, that was one of my first encounters with direct action, and it was absolutely intoxicating to see a people not asking, but demanding from power in order to protect their community.
Definitely made a big impression in my life!
