As someone who watches the far-right pretty closely, I'm confident in saying that TERFs are the same thing as Nazis. The ideological and material links are too numerous to ignore. The "transgender debate" is just a new spin on the "Jewish question."

I think that they've learned enough about feminism to use the ideas to make their transphobia and antisemitism more palatable, and to be honest, I don't think they were ever feminists to begin with.

A hell of a lot of the people we'd lump in with "TERFs" are pretty far from feminist in any sense of the meaning, and would be coming from a fundamentalist Christian perspective. See for example folks like Caroline Farrow of anti-LGBT pressure group Citizen Go.
