Interesting data here. A Harvard grad student scraped ~2 million tweets to see if Bernie supporters were more toxic than other campaigns. They weren't. This doesn't diminish the way anyone feels about any harassment they've received, just that the Sanders campaign isn't uniquely toxic. Online harassment is an issue across the board, especially for marginalized people, and that's still a problem.
It doesn't. It measures overall sentiment, using sentiment analysis (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sentiment_analysis …). But I think it would be strange if the sentiment was the same across the board *except* for doxxing? (It also doesn't cover the issue of dogpiling, which is hard to separate.)
In my pinned tweet I analyzed almost 7 million tweets. I keep the programs running downloading and analyzing tweets to add to the data. (It takes a while due to Twitter API limits and that I'm doing this on my laptop) ;-)

I live in a lot of pro Bernie circles and I just...don't see the toxicity. I'm not saying it's a lie, or a cover-up, or a con or a conspiracy. I'm just confused.
Something else to consider is the veracity of any particular account or group of accounts. IE: is this actual Bernie fans or channers fucking around.
He needs to study replies, not original tweets.
