@AntiFashGordon Does this incident exemplify you or your movement? Of course not!
Much in the same way that someone perhaps being misinformed about an anti Muslim organization (who presents as a legitimate) is not exemplary of @lighttuponlight.@nickmartin#CtrlAltDelHate2 réponses 2 Retweets 1 j'aimeAfficher cette discussion -
4/ I work for
@lighttuponlight because I believe that people are redeemable. The precedent that is set with these comments is that if an individual makes a mistake, they are forever beyond redemption. It discounts the possibilities for learning and growth in our communities.3 réponses 1 Retweet 2 j'aimeAfficher cette discussion -

No, the precedent is that grifter orgs like Light Upon Light are claiming that people like Jeff Schoep and Frankie Meeink are reformed, but they're really not. Like, Meeink is literally hanging out with another hate group now, and you're holding him out as a success.

Here are
@SchoepJeff and@frankiemeeink’s handles. Please reach out to them. Speak directly to the sources...not about them to other people. I’m sure they’d be happy to talk with you. The truth is always more nuanced than Twitter threads allow.1 réponse 0 Retweet 0 j'aime -

It's absolutely wild that you want to dance around the fact that one of
@lighttuponlight's "influencers" is working with a hate group. Sam, your anti-hate group has at least one associate working with a hate group. Does that not alarm you?3 réponses 3 Retweets 11 j'aime -

This is a one-time video, where Frank (as an individual, not representing anybody but himself) is warning about the dangers of neo-Nazi ideology and how being in the movement denigrated him as a human being. Independent of the platform, the message is clear.

It's not a one-time video. He represented them at the ALEC conference earlier this month.pic.twitter.com/UWzq902Qs7

Look, Jesse, here's another "one-time video" of Frank repping a hate group, posted two days ago.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_j4m6Zfgho …

Is there much of a difference between that message and the one here, for example? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rxP4B374Os8 … Other than the platform, what is different in Frank’s ideas that would make you think he hasn’t changed?

i would say that "literally endorsing a hate group and producing propaganda for them" doesn't scream "deradicalized"

Granted that you may disagree w/ the platform, is there a chance that he was unaware of SPLC's classification? His denouncing of neo-Nazis and other far-right extremist groups has been going on for decades, and the message has not changed...

Either he's willingly spreading the message of a hate group, or else he's so bad at his job that he got suckered into spreading a hate group's message and probably shouldn't be doing sensitive work. Either way, not much of an endorsement?
