Just using him as an example. I’ve met reformed fash who had the same “many sides” view who were truly and genuinely reformed, unlike Jeff. I should’ve been clearer, I’m not trying to defend Scheop specifically.

because they didn't actually say that? read the tweet again. they made a more generalized point. they've since explicitly differentiated. this reads like it's asked in bad faith.
It's not being asked in bad faith. I'm just asking what the fuck they're doing defending Jeff Schoep, saying that we need to give him time to change, if they think he's just covering his own ass.
