I wasn't happy with the idea that (1) we should somehow distance ourselves from black bloc tactics, and (2) that anti-police sentiment is hurting the movement. Like, to make any sense of the antifascist movement, you have to start with the idea that law enforcement is a failure.

I get the *kind* of article the author was trying to write, but he misunderstands the ideological basis of antifascism-- the three-way fight against both the state and the far-right-- and that "antifa" refers to a particular set of tactics and not just anyone who hates Nazis.

And just to be clear-- I was cool with most of what was said in the interviews, just not the reporter's editorializing, which was embarrassing.
