It was never my intention to separate the militancy from its success, but I do fear that militancy will eventually beget more militancy by the state. And please correct me if I’m wrong on this.
You are wrong. The state is already putting children in cages.. It's essential that we support communities using whatever tactics they deem necessary to protect themselves. Blaming the targets of state repression for their tactics is just apologia for authoritarianism.

Think of it like this. Liberals will often denounce violence from antifascists but not the violence they were responding to in the first place. When we say the state is already being violent, we mean that our violence is always lesser than and defending against state violence.
