Well duh you didn't say it in a vacuum did you. Obviously pointing out the flaws, real or otherwise, of a leftist candidate from a socially liberal perspective impacts on his chances of getting elected, and you knew it when you posted.
if he doesn't want it to affect his chances of getting elected, he could acknowledge it and makes some steps to change his behavior instead of just being like, "nah, that's all in the past" totally up to him

It'd probably look like some work with an accountability group, a lot of reading and self-examination. Nothing crazy, really. And we know he hasn't done that work because 20 years on, he's still saying the same misogynist shit.

He has a progressive show where he regularly talks about those issues. Sometimes he's wrong, most of the time he's right. You're just not watching it, and if he did what you wanted, you would still not be watching it and demanding he does what you want.
