CONTEXT: The far-right started using "Zionists" as a dogwhistle for Jews in the 1970s. (Specifically, Willis Carto and his Liberty Lobby started it.)
Offhandedly saying "Zionists" is going to set some people with Nazi experience on edge, so *please* make your context clear.

This is *exactly* what I'm talking about. When our Jewish comrades complain about left antisemitism, we need to listen to them and confront that hatred. Not only does it alienate good comrades, but it leaves us open to an attack from the right, like we just saw in Britain.

People see the (true) statement that antizionism is not antisemitism and take it to mean that they can say any old shit and it won't be antisemitic as long as it's antizionist.

I'm gonna be real, and this may expose my naivete, but I was shocked to see some of the shit people were saying.

It's not possible to think these two things because they are dissonant, inconsistent positions. Saying it's antisemitic to criticize Israel, an institution of borders, an entirely political project, is itself born from Islamophobia. Corporations are not people, Israel isn't a Jew

I think you can be against the Israeli state without being anti-Semitic, am I reading this correctly?
