Can we maybe not mock methods of coping that assist neurodiverse people? Just because the words seem awkward to you doesn’t mean they don’t have value for others. You’re certainly not helping disabled people be comfortable with asking you for anything.

By mocking the script, you’re indirectly mocking anyone who can’t quickly and comfortably rebuff a draining conversation when they’re already on the verge of/having a breakdown. Don’t focus on the words, focus on the need behind them.

I think you might be missing the context here? I got a death threat from a neo-Nazi and I was joking about responding to the death threat with that script. I definitely wasn't mocking the script itself, which I think is helpful. :)
