Of course you can be mad at them getting a permit to march. It's just wasted & a distraction. I don't see how issuing a permit that they're legally entitled to (which the city would be forced to issue by the courts) is "capitulation."

We'll have to agree to disagree on this one. I don't like the spending either but I don't know what else the city was supposed to do. Let Nazis, proto-fascists & their sympathizers march unchecked? I'm w/you on criticizing the police, but what was the alternative? No cops at all?

The $600,000 worth of cops were there to protect the fascists. It was us, the counter-protesters, who kept the fascists from marching unchecked. And the cops assaulted us for doing so.
