Another thing to keep in mind is that the politics of NH have been expressly warped over the past decade or two by a group of motivated libertarians who moved in and began voting as a bloc.

Not to say that the whole fabric of the state has been changed, but it's not a large state - and they've already heavily infiltrated and influenced the House.
