No offense, have you seen past the first episode? This series doesn't really put that world's cops in a particularly good light.

i watched the first half of the second, and was like, "Wow, this is really confused and basically impenetrable political worldview" and ate lasagna instead do i need to go back and watch the second/third? fwiw, i really liked the acting and the costumes

It’s not copaganda. Seriously. Watch the first episode and the cops have some seriously dark shit behind them. Especially Don Johnson’s character. Trust me on this.

I watched 1.5 episodes last night and was gonna give it until the end of episode three to start being good? Because so far, this "multiracial police force terrorizes the white working class, all of whom are racist terrorists" is not really doing it for me?

It's a very early scene in the first episode but spoiler alert anyway: Definite mixed feelings watching a cop get shot because he couldn't get his gun out from an anti shooting civilians for no reason counter measure because it would definitely be the argument cops make against.
