The cops clearly aren’t interested in pursuing this as a criminal matter. No arrests were made, nor did they take any witness statements. Woodworth could have killed the nonviolent protesters, but the cops are protecting their own here. This is what fascism looks like.
This isn’t an isolated incident of violence. In 2005, Woodworth had an excessive force complaint filed against him by an inmate. Inmates sue correctional staff on a daily basis. I've been named in 3 lawsuits that I wasn't even involved in. 1 of them was on my day off. The Liberal minded State I live in would rather settle for a much lesser amount than the inmate is suing for because it is cheaper
Not excusing this by any means. Read this complaint though- it really means nothing in regard to saying he has a past history of violence. The fact the the injuries are stated as life threatening by the victim says it all- Shakedown
