The guard’s name is Thomas Woodworth, of Pawcatuck, Connecticut.
He drove his personal vehicle, a 2012 Chevy Silverado, through a crowd of protesters.
Solidarity with all the protesters.
My research on Woodworth starts tomorrow.

The cops clearly aren’t interested in pursuing this as a criminal matter. No arrests were made, nor did they take any witness statements. Woodworth could have killed the nonviolent protesters, but the cops are protecting their own here. This is what fascism looks like.

This isn’t an isolated incident of violence. In 2005, Woodworth had an excessive force complaint filed against him by an inmate. The suit was dismissed for procedural reasons, but the factual allegations don’t appear to have been contested. https://ecf.ctd.uscourts.gov/cgi-bin/show_public_doc?2007cv0148-80 …

So when the authorities in charge refuse to do their job, who steps in? Honest question.
