The cops clearly aren’t interested in pursuing this as a criminal matter. No arrests were made, nor did they take any witness statements. Woodworth could have killed the nonviolent protesters, but the cops are protecting their own here. This is what fascism looks like.
This isn’t an isolated incident of violence. In 2005, Woodworth had an excessive force complaint filed against him by an inmate. All I can think of is when protestors stopped traffic in the past, all the comments sections being full of people saying they'd do what this guy just did. Scary stuff...
