Andy Ngo is not a journalist. At 10:39 EST, he DM’d me to ask if knew the Dayton shooter. At 10:53, I replied that I didn’t. At 11:02, he posted a conspiracy theory on Twitter, trying to link researchers and reporters to the shooter. That’s not journalism. It’s propaganda.pic.twitter.com/0awAvffVgY
Seriously, people— stop calling him a “conservative journalist.” He’s an associate of Patriot Prayer, a violent neo-fascist group, and an editor at Quillette, a race science journal. He promoted a conspiracy theory that created an Atomwaffen-affiliated kill list.
This isn’t what real journalists do.
And journalists— it’s galling to see you treat him like one of your own.
If you treat him like a journalist, then you’re a collaborator.

Andy Ngo's tactics don't even make sense. The responses clearly show no link and then he goes posting his planned conspiracy theory anyway. Makes no sense. Did he send the DMs to create a paper trail? If so, the paper trail isn't even in his favor LOL!
His audience don’t care about facts, they all believed that there was quick drying concrete in the milkshakes that the protesters were drinking and throwing and that he was walking around doing interviews the day after suffering a cerebral haemorrhage

he acts like people who don't respond to him have something to hide. In truth it's because he's not a real journalist, and is in fact a bad faith actor who is going to do exactly what he's doing here
Not only "people who don't respond to him" (the arrogance of assuming HE deserves an answer!) but also people who don't respond immediately, and people who don't respond politely enough for him. He sets a very high bar.
